Well recently there’s been progress made in the pool cleaning industry, and these days you can buy automatic cleaners that you just drop into your pool, turn them on, and away they go. You will find three different types of pool cleaner; manual, automatic suction, and automatic robotic.

Put it in your pool, and watch it go about its cleaning duties. As they use their own pump and filter system, these cleaners don’t put any extra stress on your existing in-pool pump and filters. These new robotic cleaners do such a good job of cleaning your pool that you don’t require your in-pool pump on as much, and therefore saves you electricity and cash. Some of these cleaners are so sophisticated they use a 2-micron meshed filter bag to catch the algae and bacteria from your pool water.

The suction type of cleaner are the cheapest out of the automatic types of pool cleaner. Some models to look at include the Aquabot Turbo T4RC. The reason being there’s not much too them. They use your existing pump and filter system, and only do a half-decent job of cleaning your pool. If your pool generally doesn’t get very dirty in the first place, or you already hire somebody to help maintain your pool for you, then this type of automatic pool cleaner should do for you.

If however your pool is in a position where it gets dirty rather a lot, or you maintain your pool yourself, or want it absolutely spotless and have the extra cash to spend; I would definitely recommend getting an automatic robot pool cleaner. They’re very efficient. They save on the wear and tear are your existing pool pump system. They clean lots more effectively than the other two types of pump cleaners.
